
Statue of Mancs
Mancs was a rescue dog and took part in several successful rescue actions. It saved the life of over a hundred people’s life from 1996. He became famous in 1999 after the earthquake in Izmit, Turkey, when he rescued a three-year-old girl from under the debris. He was in Salvador and India to save lives after the earthquakes in 2001. He could even signal a dead body under the water. He was one of the best rescue dogs in Hungary. In 2004 a statue was made in his honour.
